About Me
I am a 23-year-old Mobile, Ala., native. I am a country girl at heart, but I still enjoy the excitement of the city. My travels have taught me about other cultures and broadened my view of life. I was able to see outstanding art and take part in the Italian culture during my 2007 study abroad. I have visited several states, including Hawaii and California. I have toured through Kentucky, Virginia and Washington D.C. during my choral days. I traveled to Australia and New Zealand this past December to visit my family and experience yet another culture.
I was raised in a family that appreciates a wide range of music and musical instruments. The piano training that I was given, beginning at age five, has provided me with many interesting opportunities. I have played with a band, my church choir and many impromptu places. I once read that music is the universal language and I must say that I agree. (My mother would argue that mathematics is the universal language and that music flows from it. But, math does not speak to me!)
I interned with the record label, Integrity Media, over the summer. The busy schedule filled with the atmosphere of music provided me with one more real-life public relations experience, validating my strong desire to work in the public relations field.
